—■♦ RANGIORA, Mr E. D. E. Smith has returned to Eangiora. Tho Mayor, Mr E. Mcintosh and Mrs Mcintosh have gone on a visit to Kaikoiirii. ' Tho attraction at tho Town Hall on Saturday night by Everybody's; was "The Duchess of Buffalo," a First Na'tional delightful comedy, in which the screens gifted comedienne, Constance Talmadge, played the titlo role. Both the matinee in the afternoon and the evening screening, were well attended. A full programme is being announced by Everybody's for this week. Last night "The Lucky Lady" was shown. To-night tho wonderful film "Every Mother's Sou" will bo .shown., For Saturday Jeffrey ' Farnol's famous story, "The Amateur Gentleman," starring Eichard Barthelmess, will bo screened. Tho Salvation Army Hall was wellfilled on Tuesday evening when Commissioner James Hay, 0.8. E., paid a visit to the corps. Brigadier Saunders, Training College* Officer,' presided, and extended a welcome....to- Commissioner Hay, who .gave ■ a • very inspiring address on. the work of the Salvation .Army. An address ..was also given by the Mayor, Mr It. Mcintosh. During the evening, >Adjutants"Hay, daughters of the Commissioner;' sang two solos, which were much : appreciated.
