PERSONAL. (SVECI.U, TO THZ I'KESS.! GREYMOUTU, January 11. The Rev. Father Long, administrator of St. Patrick's, Greymouth, and the Rev. Fathers Maguire and McMonagie, will leave on Monday for Christehurch, where they will attend the annual retreat. The Rev. Father Kilgour will act as relieving administrator at Greymouth during the Rev. Father Long's absence. Miss M. Mcintosh left this morning on a 'visit to Wellington and Auckland. Mr James Bishop, consulting engineer to the Brunner Collieries, Ltd., arrived this afternoon from Wellington. Miss E. Heaphy, who has been visiting Christehurch, returned to Greymouth this afternoon. Messrs G. Preston, P. Preston, and W. Preston, who have been on a holiday visit to Bluff, returned to Greymouth this afternoon. Mr G. Stitt arrived from Auckland this afternoon. The death occurred at Wellington last week-end of Mr Robert, Corbett, brother of Mr F. Corbett, Rccftou. Mr Robert Corbett was well known on the West Coast, and at one time was employed at the Inglcwood mine, near Reel'ton, He leaves a widow and one child. At St. Patrick's Church this morning, the marriage was solemnised of Helen Frances, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs F. H. Kilgour, Shakespeare street, and Ronald, only son of Mr and Mrs Webber, of Rangiora. The bride wore white georgette with diamante trimming, also an embroidered tulle veil with circlet of orange blossom, and carried a bouquet of pink and mauve sweet peas and maidenhair fern. Mr F. H. Kilgour gave his daughter away, and the Rev. Father Kilgour, brother of the bride, performed the wedding ceremony, and the Nuptial Mass following. Two bridesmaids were in attendance—Miss Kath. Kilgour, sister of the bride, wearing primrose shot taffeta with beige crinoline hat, and carrying a Victorian posy of blue and white ilowers, and the bridegroom's sister, Mi 63 Dorothy Webber, who wore a frock of powder-blue georgette beaded with silver, with crinoline hat and posy to match. Mr D. Scott, of Christehurch, attended the bridegroom asWbest man, and Mr P. Doogan was groosman. The bridal march from "Lohengrin" and Mendelssohn' 3 Wedding March were played by Miss L. Higgins, and at the Offertory Miss Ailsa Dillon, of Wellington, sang Luzzi's "Ave Maria." After the ceremony the bride's parents entertained the guests at a wedding breakfast at the Oddfellows' Hall. Later Mr and Mrs Webber left by the express, the bride travelling in a bois-dc-rose georgette frock with repp coat to match, and white crinoline hat. Messrs T. Prendcrgast and R. Ryan, of Totara Flat, have returned from a holiday trip to the North Island. Grey Hospital Building. At a meeting of the Grey Hospital Board, a building scheme involving the expenditure of £OOOO was approved, including engineering and hot-water services, etc., £1500; extension of wards, £4000; out-patients' dispensary anil secretary's office, £IOOO. Sundry alterations, including domestic £9OO, alterations to house for medical superintendent's uso as residence £250, were also approved. Dr. T. H. A. "Valintinc, InspectorGeneral of Hospitals, attended the meeting, which was not open to the Press. Dobaon Belief Fund. The amount received to date in subscriptions to the Dobson Relief Fund totals £1165 lis. Committed for Sentence. At a sitting of«the Wcstport Magistrate's Court, James Mcllroy appeared on two charges of theft, one of a lady's watch valued at £7, and the other of a gold watch chain valued at £B, and a nickel watch valued at 8s (Id. Mcllroy, who was also charged with escaping from custody, pleaded guiltv to- all charges and was committed- to the next sitting of the Supreme Court for sentence. For a breach of the terms of his probation, Mcllroy was sentenced to fourteen days' imprisonment at Grey mouth.-,. Messrs Fox and Slee, Justices of the Peace, were on tho Bench.
