NO TIME TO JOKE.
BUSY MUSSOLINI. HIS DAILY ROUND. (BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYSI&HT ) (AUSTEALIAN AND K.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, January 7. "I have arrived at the age of thirtynine," says Mussolini in a British United Press article, "and am Italy's youngest Premier, with the force of youth. The combined ages of my Ministers is slightly over two hundred years, while one of Signor Giolitti's Ministries aggregated eleven hundred years. "It might be argued that youth lacks experience, but it will attempt the impossible and often succeed. "Roosevelt was the wielder of the big stick, which is a Fascist trait. There must bo unity of policy, and responsibility of direction, otherwise the Government becomes a slipshod hit-or-miss business.
"Promptly at nine o'clock daily, I am at the desk of tho Ministry of the Interior, directing seven Ministries. At two o'clock I have a light lunch, and after that go to the Foreign Ministry, where I remain till ten. My only break is for a cup of milk at six o'clock. . "My colleagues know they cannot approach me unless on Government business. There is no time to joke. Fortunately, I am blessed with the faculty of quick decision, and accomplish an immense amount of work.
_ "I cannot stand vacillating, procrastinating executives, which deliberate for years. Ministers of the professional typo aro useless as administrators."
