ATHLETICS AND CYCLING. * GOOD AMATEUR EVENTS.
Amateur athletes were well represented at the annual sports meeting of tho liangiora Athletic Association, which was held at the Eangiora Recreation Ground en Saturday. A good programme had been arranged, and keen finishes wore witnessed in most events, evidencing well-judged handicapping. Tho attendance wss not what might have been expected. Mr W. C. Flewollyn, president of the Canterbury Centre of the Jfow Zealand Amateur Athletic Association; Mr E. H. Cross, handienpper; arid Mr P. C.
