AUSTRALIAN BUSH FIRES

SYDNEY, January 6. As a sequel to recent bush fires in the Forbes district, a number of landholders have issued claims against the Railway Commissioners for losses amounting to £60,000. In the event of failure to reach a settlement, writs will be issued for the amount.
