——♦ FINDING APPOINTMENTS. Mr C. R. Kirk, secretary of tie Canterbury Education Board, has received some fifty applications for employment from student teachers since Christmas. Some of these applications have been received from the "Weft Coa*'. It will take some time to ahtovj then all, but Mr Kirk says he thinio iU'-, owing to the new arrangements tor the staffing of schools, most of the higher graded students will be placed soon. The highest graded will receive junior positions, or will be posted to small country schools, and the others will gradually be placed in less important positions.
