PERFECT ROADS.
A YACHTSMAN'S PRAISE. '•1 motored over a perfect road yesterday, and why some of you people grumble, I don't know," said MrWilliams, of the yacht Surprise, to a representative of Tub Press J;Au evening. Mr Williams's yacht is duo at Lytteltou this morning, when she will bo laid up for overhaul. Her owner motored to Christchurch yesterday from Picton, and it is his intention to go south for shooting and fishing. Mr Williams, who is a Welshman, considers New Zealand roads among tho best he has seen. While in the North Island he motored over 200 miles of roads per day, and found them excellent, and ho is loud in his praise of the road to Christchurch from Kaikoura.
Mr Williams's yacht is one of the largest private craft to sail Now ZoaInnd waters. She has a tonnage of 1100, and carries a crow of about fifty men. Mrs Williams accompanies her husband on tour, and they are staying at Warner's Hotel.
