THE DRAMA OF HUMANITY. A remarkable picture is to bo presented at the Queen's Theatre next week, "After Six Days," a massive produqtion of the over-interesting story of tho beginning of the human family, taking its title from the verse out of Genesis: "And on the seventh day the Lord rested." Nothing more powerful in its_ simplicity, nothing more enthralling in its moments of mighty drama and primitive romance has ever been conceived than this pictorial masterpiece, which depicts upon the silver sheet, in reverent strokes, the story of the Old Testament, from the Creation to the glorious reign of Solomon. The whole of Europe and Asia were searched for antique appointments in the making of this film; venerable times were I consulted in the producers' determination to stage the picture with Biblical accuracy, the scenes depicting the better-known Scriptural incidents were photographed in the places of the actual occurrences, in Jerusalem, Egypt, Palestine, and Mesopotamia, and the entire film bears the imprint of great pains and great artistic value. To construct the interior settings required months of labour and painstaking efforts, and tho costuming of the picture, from, the lavish and exotic trappings of the principals down to those of the smallest super" is correct in every detail. In magnitude of conception, story settings, and characters, scenic investure and entertainment quality, it surpasses the suprome efforts of all other contemporary producers To the seeker for thrills, poignant drama, startling narrative, great love interest, sublime pathos, and stupendous climaxes, this production offers the maximum of entertainment. It is the drama of humanity itself, as it is unfolded in the Old Testament, from the Dawn of Creation to the recorded Wisdom and Poetrv of the Songs of Solomon. The box now open at Webley's.
