DROWNED WHILE BATHING
♦ EFFORTS TO SAVE. [THE PRESS Special Service.] WELLINGTON, January 5. At the inquest to-day on Eva Blanche Douglas, aged 22 years, who lost her life while bathing at Maori Bank on New Year's Day, a verdict of accidental drowning was returned. The jury considered that every effort had been made to save Miss Douglas, and commended the actions of those who swam so promptly to her rescue.
