PREACHER UPSETS LAMP. . (BT CABLt— »*!»» AMOCIATION-COPTBIOHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AKO V.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION (Received January 3rd, 8.30 p.m.) LONDON, January 3. The historic Livingstone Congregational Chapel in Stamford Rivers, Essex, has been destroyed. Mrs Kenmford, who was conducting a service, overturned an oil lamp as the service was starting, and the chapel was quickly a mass of names Mrs Kenniford escaping with difficulty lOT stone's Bible was destroyed This church was the one in which Livingstone preached his first sermon. After mounting the pulpit, he was seized with nervousness and rushed out or the building.
