RIVER BOARD ELECTIONS.
.<< NORTH RAKAIA. The nominations of candidates for election to the North Rakaia River Board of Conservators closed at noon on Friday. The following six candidates were nominated: Messrs E. J. Cowan, W. M. Gabbie, W. Lochhead, J. S. McClelland, J. P. McEvedy, and James Storry. All except Mr McClelland were membera of the old Board. As only five members are required a poll is to be taken on January 11th.
