Tha South Canterbury Caledonian Society were favoured with beautifully fine weather on Saturday, when their 52nd annual sports gathering was held on their grounds at Patiti Point. The meeting was very largely attended by the public, and the events were run to time by an efficient staff of officials.' thus adding much to the satisfaction and pleasure derived from the sports by the spectators.
