Naval artivity is noticeable in both Italy and France under the stimulus of Signor Mussolini's policy. Since he took over charge of the Ministry of Marine Italian naval shipyards have worked at high pressure. iiignor Mussolini has decreed concentration upon light, fast ships, notably cruisers of the type approved at the Washington Conference, and torpedo boats, and also a large fleet of submarines of a vastly improved type. Another dream of the Duce is to see Italy's mercantile flag supreme in the Mediterranean. Every yard is occupied to its fullest extent, including the construction of a number of motor ships and huge liners.
