ST. MARTINS RESIDENTS' ASSOCIATION.
At the monthly meeting of the St. Martins Residents' Association Mr Harvey presided over a good attendance. It was decided to write to the City Council, drawing attention to the dangerous state of the corner of Langdown street and Waltbam road. Messrs Harvey and Jones reported on the inspection of the river banks along with Mr R. B. Owen. It was decided to accept the invitation of the Addington Burgesses' Association to a card match on Saturday, May 22nd. On the motion of Messrs Harvey and Jones it was decided to write to the City Council with reference to the conference with the Ilenlhcote County Council regarding Hills road. The secretary reported on the canvass of the district for new members, tho result being 32 new members being enrolled, bringing the total to 154 members. Messrs Harvey and Hill proposed a new member each. On the motion of Messrs Jones and Marquet it was decided to write to the Beckenbam School Committee and the Beckenham Burgesses' Association asking them to make further requests to the Citv Council regarding « new footbridge at "the end of Hnta stieet Extension On the motion of Messrs Archer and Jones it was decided to write to the City Council regarding the report of the Superintendent of Parks on the Council's Reserve in Eata. street.
