HIGH COMMISSIONER'S CABLE.
The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated the Bth instant, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London: —Dairy p/oduee^—By agreement with Board of Trade official quotations for last weeilc, have been made maximum and wholesale prices until further notice, with authority charge retail 4s more. Deliveries this week very difficult on account of strike trouble, but anticipate arrangements will be made for Government protection next week.
Fruit.—Northern market paralysed. Liverpool, Norfolk, arid Surrey shipments landed, and prices realised are below guarantee. Otira (Hull) discharged, and condition appears good. First sale next Wednesday, and expect poor result. London distribution badly affected, and small sale this week. Tainni and Norfolk prices are from lis to 16s per case.
Wool sales postponed, and other markets at a standstill.
