BIBLE CLASS CAMP.
ANNUAL MEETING AT TfiMUKA. Membeis of the Baptist Young Men's Bible Classes have been camped at the Temuka Domain for the Easter holidays, and favoured with fine weather, have bad a splendid time. The young men coma from practically every town from Christchurch to Invercargill, and there are also present a few from the North Island. They spoko in glowing terms of the beauty of the Domain. The winner of the prepared speech contest was Mr W. Lambert, of Dunedin, his subject being "Tho World's Greatest Need." .. ~ ~, . At the annual meeting the following officials wi-rc appointed for tho ensuing year:—President, Rev. E. Evans; vicepresidents, Messrs Lambert and Schroeder, secretary and treasurer, .Mr lan Armour; executive, Messrs G. Hend*y and W. Barnes (Dunedin), Rev. H. Goring (Titnaru), hnd Mr S T. Barnett (Cbristchurch); Mission Fund collector, Mr S. T. Barnett On Friday afternoon a cricket match was played on the oval between Otago and Canterbury, at which the southern team defeated their opponents in an unmistakable manner. In the evening, however, the situation was reversed, for Ganterbury carried off all the honours at tho speechmaking contests. The Mayor of Temuka (Mr G. 8.. Cartwright) wns the guest of tbe vieiW at the function, and extended to them a very hearty Welcome. Mr T\. Flett (Christcburch) won the junior sermonette, and Mr S. T. Barnett (Chnstchurch) the senior sermonette and impromptu speech. On Saturday afternoon a sports lneetiag was held, at which there were many spectators from Timaru and Temuka.
