LINCOLN PARISH.

JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS. The jubilee of the ' parish •of Lincoln is to be celebrated on Friday, the 23rd inst., and an appropriate programme has been arranged. According to the latest issuo of the "Church Magazine," the present church St. Stephen's, Lincoln, was opened on August 26th, 1877, and was consecrated on September 9th, 1879. St. Paul's Church, Tai Tapu, was opened on November 16th, 1876, and consecrated on November 17th, 1881. St. Mary's Church, Springsto'u, was opened on March 29th, 1875, and consecrated' on April. 9th, 1877. St. Mark's Church, Greenpark, was opened on April 6th, 1831, and consecrated on November 30th, 1882.. Following is the programme drawn up for the jubileo celebrations on the 23rd inst.:—

8 a.m.—Holy Communion : in St. Stephen's Church. 2 p.m.—Thanksgiving in St. Stephen's church, and short address by the Bishop, the Eight Rev. Dr. WestWatson.

2.30 p.m.—Garden Party at the Vicarage. Addresses by tho Bishop, the Vicar (Eev. C. L. Wilson), Dr. F. W. Hilgendorf, the Hon. Sir R. Heaton Rhodes, M.L.C., former vicars, lay residents, and others. 8 p.m.—Grand Concert in Druids' Hall,- organised by Captain Tahu Ehodes (proceeds for St. Saviour's Orphanages). Vicar's Announcement. The Rev. C. L. Wilson, the vicar, in announcing the arrangements for the Jubilee, in the "Church Magazine" says:— '. "The celebration will be on Friday, 23rd April, St. George's Day. Furthermore it will be our Bishop's birthday, and we must givo him a,birthday greeting marked by real colonial heartiness. So mind you don't, forget the date. Come with , your; most cheerful smile, and a well filled basket under the gig seat, or in the back of the car if the old gig has -developed: four wheels- and au engine. The contents of the basket will refresh us and our visitors during the afternoon, We expect to ., renew, or make .acquaintance with, many forml- - residents \of .;tho. cure, - and. with several former vicars.'
