ALLEGED BURGLARY.
THREE MEN CHARGED.

AUCKLAND, September 7,
A lengthy list' of serious charges comprising breaking, entering, and theft, and being in possession of a gelignite fuse and housebreaking implements, and unlawfully converting two motor-cars to his own use were preferred against three men, Gustav Henry Hansen, aged 24 Ernest John Brasting (28), and James Harold O'Brien (29) in the Police Court this morning. One witness, Thomas Johnston, a motor-car dealer, said he observed Hansen driving a stolen motor-car along the Helonsvillc road on Sunday, August 23rd. Knowing the car had been stolen, witness took Hansen to Hclcnsville to give him in charge, but the constable was absent in Auckland, so witness brought accused to the City and handed him over to the police. Evidence was given regarding burglaries at various shops in the suburbs, and the use of explosives on safes, and the hearing was then adjourned till tomorrow. ■-' , i
