The adventurous voyago t-rr Now Zealand by >V. I'nilt and his daughter Dora in the nine-ton yawl Merganser, begau from Plymouth. A crowd gathered at the spot whence ' tho Pilgrim Fathers sailed and cheered as the yawl left the harbour. Fnitt and his daughter were ir. tho best of spirits, looking forward with pleasure to tho trip. They will bo alone except for a cat.
Tho first ports of call will be Capo Finisterre, Oporto and Lisbon. Tho voyagers hope to reach Cape Town by October.
Unitt said that he would Jail the boat himself at night and Dora by day. Ho had received offers to accompany them front all over tho country.
