PREDICTION FOR MR COATES.
(SPECIAL TO "THE PBI83.") HAWEHA. September 5. "In the present Prime Minister of this country, I believe we have a man who wilj make history," declared the Hon. A. D. McLeod, in his speech here to-night. "He has already made history, in tho service of his country in a sphere- outside New Zealand', though he is tho last man who will claim any credit for it. He says he only did his duty. He has inado his marls iu the great commercial Departments of Public Works, Railways, and Post and Telegraphs and I know lie will make good as Prime Minister." (Applause.)
