SELLING WHISKY.
A LICENSEE'S ADVERTISEMENT. At a meeting of the Licensing Committee yesterday, Sub-Inspector J. Mathew drew attention, to the advertisement of a licensee (G. lies, Provincial Hotel), who announced that free Ba fetv razors would be given away to purchasers of certain lines of liquor from his bottle store. The chairman, after glancing at the advertisement referred to, said: that it would be as well for the police to interview the licensee with regard to it and point out to him that the committee viewed his action with great disfavour and considered that he should not continue it. If it was a case of solicitation, the police should look into the matter and perhaps take action against the licensee.
