Interviewed by tlio ''Aftenpost" on his arrival at Spitzbergen, Captain Amundsen said lio was not interested in the North. Pole, as Peary had boon there. The dash from Spitzbergen to Alaska was the only thing that interested him.

His trip had shown that tho use of aeroplanes was impossible. He was unable to jrivo an opinion in regard to tho proposed journey with Eckener's dirigible, but the photographs they took showed how impossible such a trip with an aeroplane would be. Captain Amundsen and his party will fly from Spitzbergen to Oslo in the polar aeroplane on Sunday. ENTHUSIASTIC GREETINGS. (Received July sth, 5.5 p.m.) OSLO, July 5. Captain Amundsen and Ins companions arrived at Horton this evening. Nine flying boats from the naval station met tho ship at the lighthouse and accompanied it to harbour. Captain Amundsen proceeds to Oslo to-morrow.
