AEOLIAN CLUB RECITAL.

This evening, in the Choral Hall, the -Eolian Club will give its first public recital. The performers will be the Misses May Barber, Olive Cooper, Violet Halliday, Elsie Morrah, Mary Morrison, Judith Mathias, Ruth Henry, Theo. Shore, Piri Thompson, and Mr F. Page. The programme promises to be one of unusual merit. The items include the music of Mozart down to that of the modern composer Walter Niemann. They comprise pianoforte concertos accompanied by Mr Ernest Empson, pianoforte solos, and violin solos. The club has been founded with the idea of studying music in every possible way within its power, and giving two public recitals each year. A. great deal of support lias already been given to it by the music-lovers of Christchurch. The Choral Hall will be specially heated in order to ensure the comfort of the audience.
