POULTRY SHOW.
NORTH CANTERBURY. The second day o£ the North Canterbury Poultry, Pigeon, and Cat Show -was favoured with more favourable conditions than on the previous day, and thero wus quite a good attendance during the afternoon and evening. The cat section was judged by Mr F. Biggs, of Christchurch. The entry was about the same as last year, but tho standard of exhibits. However, was not up to the average. The South Island Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Association s cliair>l<iloll- - the best female cat over six mcnths, any other colour than smoke, blue, or tabby was won by Mrs A. W. MacUilliv. ray's Persian. Tho following wero the puzewinners:— n T,„ PERSIAN. Chinchilla, over 12 months: Mrs A. W. MacGillivray 1. over 1" (•>)• Mrs A. "W. McGillivray 1 and special,' Miss Grace Hurley 2. Tabby, brown over 12 months: J. W. Bish°p 1. silver or grey, over 12 months Mrs A. W. MacGillivray 1 and special, Miss Jean Ivory 2; Any other colour, over six months: Mrs A. W. MacGillivray 1. South Island championship neuter, Persians, any other colour: Mrs W. J. Wilson 1. Persian kitten, six months or under: Mrs A. IW. MacGillivray 1. SHORT-HAIRED. Dark tabby (2): F. Seddons 1, Muriel Beatty 2. Any other variety (2): D. Petrie 1, Miss Jean Ivory 2. Largest cat: B. T. C. Overend 1. French cat: R. T. C. Overend 2. CHILDREN'S CLASSES. Children under 16 years—Pet cat (4).: Bessie Rutherford 1 and special, Marjory Hurley 2, Malcolm Kennedy 3.
