Mr V E. Rattray was nppoin'ted instructor in' the linotype class at the Technk-al College at Inst nights meeting: of tho Board of Governors. The Rev. Victor Rule, son of the Kov Frank Rule, is expected to, arrive in Christchurch on a visit from Arizona, where he is stationed, on Tuesday next.
The Hawke's Bay Magistrate. Mr R. W. 3>vcr, S.M.. is at present confined to'his" house with tonsditis and laryngitis. He is being relieved during his illness by Mr S. L. P. Free, of Masterton.

At- last nigiirs meotinrr of tho Technical College Board of Governors it was decided that tho director (Dr. I). E. Hansen) be appointed to attend tho University Education Commission' on behalf of the Board in the interests of technical education.
Mr McGregor Wright (chairman), T>r. D. E. Hansen (director) and Mr E. H. Andrews were appointed by the Technical College Board of Governors at its meeting la-st night to attend tho annual Technical College Conference, to be held in Wellington next month.
