THE GINSBERG CASE.
ACCUSED REMANDED.
(press association telegbam.) WELLINGTON, July 3. Raleight Ginsberg, aged 29, described as an agent, appeared in the Magistrate's Court to-day charged with the theft of £IOO. Chief-Detective Kemp asked for a remand to July Bth, and suggested that if bail were asked for it should be made substantial, as he had been informed that Ginsberg was maSing preparations to leave the country. This was emphatically denied by accused's counsel. The Chief-Detective said that he understood that the total amount involved ran into £IO,OOO. A remand was granted. Bail was allowed, self in £4OO or two sureties of £2OO each, the' accused to report daily to the police.
