MALVERN ASSOCIATION. The final match in the Malvern ladies' Hockey Association was played at Sheffield, when "the local team defeated Greendale.. by 3 goals to 1. Sheffield, with an unbeaten record, are the winners of the shield with a total of 10 points. At a meeting of the Association held at. Darlield, it was decided to hold a sis-aside tournament at Sheffield, on n date to he arranged, when each A team will play each of the other A teams, and each B team will pH'y each other B team. The draw for the Jh-st round was made.as follows: — A Teams: Sheffield v. Greendale, Springfield v. Darlield. B Teams: Springfield v. Sheffield, Darficld v. Greendale. ...,.' The usual six-a-side rules are to govern the play, with the following additions: (1) In the event of nny game being won by a hit over back line, that game to count only one point. (2) If two teams are equal in points and a play-o'ff is required, the game must bo won by a goal and not a hit-over back line. It' is proposed to give an order to each jflarer in the winning teams to the value of 76 Gd. ' It was decided to invite four of the Canterbury Ladies' .Association teams to play the Malvern Association's teams at -Sheffield, if a suitable date can be arranged. It was agreed to arrange, if possible, a representative match with the Ashhurtou Association at a later date. It is the intention of the Association to arrange i\ schools' seven-a-side tournament if sufficient support is forthcoming from the schools in the .Malvern district.
