NOTES AND MEMORANDA.
To-night, in the W.E.A. room, Trades Hall, Mr C. R. Russell will give a lecture on ' 'Wireless," with practical- demonstrations. The Sneeting is free, and open to the public. At. Wesley Church, Fitzgerald avenue, tomorrow, a series of evangelistic services will be commenced. The Rev. E; D. Patchett will preach at'the morning service on "Christ's Challenge to His Church." At the evening service the Rev. W. A. Hay will take for his subject '.'A King on the Throne,"' and Miss Jessie Duff .will sing a sacred solo. The special services will be continued on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings at ■7.30, the Rev. W. A. Hay being the preacher. A meeting of the General Committee set up to arrange for the reception and entertainment of officers and men of the American Fleet will be held in the City Council Chambers on Tuesday at 3 p.m. A cribbage tourney will be held in the Foresters' Hall to-night. • . The Sydenham Bowling Club will hold a e»chre tourney in the Sydenham Football Hall on. Monday night. . A jumble sale will be held in the Methodist Hall, Fitzgerald avenue, this afternoon.
