EDGEWARE CLUB. ( The annual general meeting of tho Edgeware. Bowling, Tennis and Croquet Club was held on Tuesday evening. Mr H. A. Jarden occupied the chair, and there was a, representative gathering of members of each 6ection. • . Rcferenco was made to the death of Miss Seaton, and . a vote of condo'.enco with her relatives was passed, members standing^ The president, in moving the adoption of tho report and baalnce-ahect of the'executive, congratulated the members upon the healthy state of tho financial affairs of ea-ck section and urged all to endeavour during the coming season to further tho social side of the club's activities. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr H. "A. Jarden (reelected); vice-president, Mr R. Grant; sco lctarv-treasurer, Mr J. B. Borthwick (reelected); auditor, Mr S. Perrin (re-elected); delegates—Christcburch Bowling Centre, Mr J. D. Colville (re-elected); Canterbury Croquet Association, Mrs J. vV. Beanland (reelected); Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association, Messrs Longton, Berry and W. Beanland; Executive Committee, Messrs Blank, Burgess, Jones and Joweey (bowling section), Mr S. Pen-in (croquet section), Messrs Jvcate, Shier, Clothier, Roberts, W. Beanland (tennis section). SYDENHAM CLUB. The Svdenham Bowling Club held a very cnjovable card party in their enlarged ■uavilion, when there was a very fair attendance of members. Prizes wero won by Messrs Turland and Maddren. Orders for trophies won during the season wero presented as under:—Champion singles, «. Sniller (far the seventh year in succession), j second 'W. H. Harris; champion doubles, f Turnbull and It.. Garth; champion rinks, AY. H. Harris, AY. D. Marks, H. C. "Ward and ' ii. McKeuzie; handicap singles, grade \ J Becconsall; handicap singles,, grade B* j' J Oswald; handicap doubles, grado \' T*l Freeman and AY. Spiller; handicap doubles' grade B, F. Vernazoni and F. A. Dunn; colts, H. E. Laycock and second G. \. Stanlev. The MacDougall Cup is held by oille'r, and the Holliss trophy was presented to E. Peek, last year's winner. After supper several members entertained the party with various items of an elocutionery character.
