WOOLSTON SCHOOL COMMITTEE

At the monthly meeting of the Woolston School Committee there were present Messrs J. Radcliffe (chairman), W. Andrews, C. Pegg, W. Harvey-Turvey, F. Pepper, G. Randall, 6. Keid, E. Rowlands and J. Knighton. The headmaster reported that the average attendance was 564, and the number on the roll 621. During the evening » deputation was received from the Burgesses' Association regarding an application for a grant to build a new school. It was reported that a most successful concert had been given by the Sunbeam Concert Party. As numerous ticket-holders had been unable to gain admittance to the concert it was decided to allow them admittance with the same tickets at ihe next concert. Messrs Rowlands and Harvey-Turvey were appointed a visiting committee for July.
