OBITUARY.
MR A. J. FAULKNER, The death of Mr A. J. Faulkner, of Wairakaia, Muriwai, occurred at Hastings yesterday (telegraphs our Gisborno correspondent). The deceased - underwent a serious operation ten days ago, and was understood to have been progressing favourably. The late Mr Faulkner had been farming in Muriwai for the past 20 years, and his property was regarded as one of the best farmed in the district. lu addition to his own property, he supervised the farming of several properties in Hawke's Bay and lent valuable service in an advisory capacity to' the soldier farmers of the district. Ho served with the Expeditionary Force for several years in France. He leaves a widow and five children.
