Mr Dohcrty was presented with testimonials by a committeo of shipping men and tho company. A cablo from Honolulu states that Mr A. C. Canghey, of Auckland, a member of the Institute of Pacific Relations, has been taken to the Queen's Hospital suffering from physical col- v lapse. He had been attending all the various preliminary meetings of tho .-jInstitute, and was found ill on tho Punabou school campus by other mem- J bers. Tho Mayor of Christehureh, Mr J. K.
