In the men's doubles, first, round. Lamb and Harper (Australia) beat 'Van Braun and Stebbing, 4-6, 7-5, 6-2. In the second round, Ovole-Recs and Barclay beat Aitkeu and Ingram, 8-JO, 6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 6-4. J. O. Anderson (Australia) and Knudolph Lycett (England) beat Washer and Wallenberg (Belgium), 6-2, 2-6, 7-5, 6-C, 6-3. In the women's singles, Madame Billou't (Franre) defeated Mrs Mcllquaham (Australia), 6-3, 6-3. \ Miss McKnne (Kngland) beat Miss Boyd (Australia), 6-1, 6-1. •Miss Fry (England) beat Miss Akhurst (Australia), 2-6, 6-4, 6-3. In the first round of the mixed doubles, Dnsh and Mrs Watson (England) beat Utz and Mrs Utz (Australia), 6-3, G-0. In the second round of the Ladies* Doubles, Mrs Harper and Mis 3 Akhurst (Australia) defeated Miss St. George and Mrs Melody, C2, 6-3. In the mi::ed doubles, first round,' Jacob and Mrs Pitt beat Melody and Mrs Melody, 6-2, 6-2. In the second round Gilbert and Miss McKane beat Fotherin"hani and Miss Busby. In the min's drubies, Crawford and Fisher entered the. last eight, beating Knight and Gregory 6-1, 6-2, 6-0. Ccehfct and Brugacn beat Spsnce and Hingsley C-2, fi-1, 3-6 5-7 G-3. Lycett and Anderson had a walkover in the third round owing to Stotl and Macintosh scratching. In the' AH England Plate Owen beat Fotheringham, 6-2 G-° Burr beat Utz, 6-4. '. v y '
