GERMAN REPARATIONS.
TO THK EDITOR Of "THE, PBESS." Sir,--Ifc was very gratifying to •read iii your' Saturday issue, that the Australian Government had received the suia of £250,000 from. Germany as reparation. This sum, although comparatively small, makes one wonder when New Zealand will come in for a slight picking. Surely our sacrifice was equal to Australia. Many of our homes are filled with sorrow and suffering through the unspeakable Hun, .and ho should be made to pay, and pay dearly, for. that- suffering. '"May I ask what are our'members of Parliament doing? We know that some Socialistic members tucked their head behind their wings while the scrap was on. Are they still sleeping? Perhaps the. member for Lyttelt.on will throw his effulgent light on this matter, or shall' we: have to wait till the "Lyon" baits him in-his den. —Yours, etc., A PATIENT SUFFERER. Lyttelton, June 29th, 1925.
