SEAMEN'S TERMS.
SUBMITTED TO PREMIER. TEN VESSELS NOW IDLE. (BY CABLE—r-RE3B ASSOCIATION— COPTBIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received June 29th, 11 p.m.) SYDNEY, June 29. Representatives of the unions associated with the transport workers' group privately interviewed Mr Lang (Premier) concerning the shipping dispute and submitted certain proposals for a settlement.
Mr Lang said that after submitting the proposed terms to the owners, ho would announce them publicly.
Although nothing is known of their nature it is understood that the situation is much brighter. The owners of tho Canberra '(Australian Steamship Pty.) after an abortive conference with the crew, decided to tie the vessel up indefinitely and al-> so tied up the collier Malachite for a similar cause. There are now ten vessels idle, in Australian ports over tho guarantee clause.
