MILLIONAIRE BENEFACTIONS. Munificent benefactions by America's wealthy men have becomo so' common •that they have almost set tho standard of good fprni for millionaires. Recently two men to'gethor gave 52,500,000 dollars to public purposes on the same day. One of them, George Eastman, who makes tho world's Kodak cameras, offered this, roasonablo explanation of' the millionaire's philosophy of giving: "If: a man has wealth ho has to make a'choice, because there is the money heaping up. Ho can keop it together-in a bunch, and leave it to others to adj minister after he is dead, or he can get it into action, and have fun while he is alive. I prefer getting, it into J action and adapting it .to human \ needs."
