PRINCE DOWN MINE.
(BT CABLE—TRESS ASSOCIATION— CO?TJtIQHT.) (AUSTRALIAN ASD Jf.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) CAPE TOWN, Juno 25. Tho Prince of Wales had a great reception when visiting a West Rand mine. Donning slacks, ho descended tho Crown Mine to a depth of 3750 feet, and, entering an electric tram, traversed four miles of the workings. Ho was shown the various processes of production, including smelting. He was deeply interested. The Prince was presented with a gold-encrustod paper weight.
