In tho Hawkesbury district much damage was caused by landslides as tho waters rapidly receded. Creeks at tho back of Mittagong are running bank to bank. Traffic is interrupted. A man who was washed off his horse while crossing tho Kangaroo lliver was drowned. Tho position at Forbes is easier. The water is now concentrating into an onormous volume on its way through tho Jenialong district, whero hilly country prevents its spread. The land will be deeply submerged. It is expected that the flood will reach Condobolin early nest neck. It is fctill raining. Later. The river at Forbes is falling slowly and all danger is now removed, but it is rising again at Cowra, whero -floods arc expected.
