NORTH BEACH NOTES.
A meeting of the Foreshore Improvement Society was heid in'the surf pavilion, Mr K. A. M. Leaver presiding over a- good attendance. Mrs Hulme lcported that progress had been mado with arrangements -or Tho Coronation ceremony. A meeting with the parents .and tho children had been held previously, and the different roles arranged. It was iioped to hold a rehearsal in the new hall at an cni'ly date. Tenders were, received for the supply of chairs and also for the installation of electric light. Messrs Leaver, Hutton and Rowlands were appointed a sub-committee to go into the matter and accent the most suitable. The Gas Company's offer regarding ga3 arrangements for water heating' in tho hall was considered most satisfactory and .accepted, unanimously. The Gala Committee held another of its euchra evenings, when nine tables "were ■filled. The ladies' prizes went to Mrs T. G. Low and Mrs Frame, and the gentlemen's to Mr Hamilton and Mr T. G. Low.
