Hannan stMeß that lie is well satisfied with his condition and prospects on Saturday. Ho savs that if the weather is still squallv it will be in his favour. He expects s/haid race, but is confident that ho mill finish in front. MAJOR GOODSELL FAVOURED. (US CABLE-rRESS ASSOCIATION-COPYRIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) SYDNEY, June 28. Svdney critics are inclined to favour Major Goodsell in his race with J. P. a^ Qa " ° n Saturday. Experts consider that he is showing better form in his training. They consider that Hunnan is not vet at tho top of his form, though his work is steadily improving, the new boat being a fnctor towards such improvement. lne> are not too well satisfied with his fast work and consider that the shooting slide is not faultless.' and he loses a lot in his leg drive. His recovery is too slow, and he hesitates on the catch. » ♦ At the same time they point out that, physically, Hannan is the more powerful man, is full of surprises, and is backed by wide experience. The differing ages of the two scullers- —Goodsell is 27 and Ilannan 42 —is regarded as possibly an important factor in Saturday's rßce.
