THE ENCROACHING FEMALE.
TO THE EDITOR OF "THE THESS." Sir, —lb is with regret that I note the increasing tendency towards masculine clothes which is increasingly evident in modern women.. i'Yora r.iy boyhood days I have been a keen advocate for femininity in women, and consequently it jars upon my nerves to note the present generation of young girls copying men in every respect. I have been silent wheii women have invaded
our games, our politics, and all our other masculine affairs; but now I feel that I must raise my feeblo voice when the last straw is nut on my back. Men arc growing irritable at tlio continued copying of their masterpieces in the sartorial art. Jerseys, jazz sw.eaters, and so on—all the modern crazes of women have come in the first place from men. And I could go on for pages of your valuable space. But what I have said will suffice. Let us hopo that soon women will appear in a saner and prettier dress. —Yours, etc.. MISOGYNIST, June 21st, 192-5,
