OBITUARY.

A Cairo cable announces the death of Mr Cremers, the Dutch President of the Nile Irrigation Commission, which was established to regulate the Nile water..issue, following'the murder of the late Sirdar. The Commission had practically completed its task when it was interrupted by Mr Cremers's illness.

Th*e death is annoiuiced from Sydney of Mr James Collier, formerly Parliamentary Librarian at Wellington.
