ADMIRAL'S SPEECH TO SEATTLE MEN..

(Received June 21st, 11.5 p.m.) HONOLULU, June 20, During Admiral Coontz's inspection on board the Seattle this morning he told the officers and men something about the Fleet's cruise in 1908, when a favourable impression was created .by the personnel, the appearance of the ships, and the smartness of the enlisted men.
The Admiral commented on the cordiality of the Australian and New Zealand receptions. A delightful time iva3 spent by the Americans, and he impressed upon, the crew the necessity of deserving the welcome which was impending. He described the interesting trips throughout Australia afforded to enlisted men in 1908, and stressed the real educational value which these excursions offered.
Admiral Coontz concluded by calling upon the men present not only to be smart and clean-cut in appearance, but to show a fine spirit, to conform with the flue syirit of Australians and !Xew 2ealandcrs.
