A golf match between the members of the Rangiora Ladies' Golf Club and a ■ team of eight players from the Christchurch Ladies' Golf Club played a match in perfect weather at the _ Rangiora, Links on Saturday. DEATH OF MISS LUCY OVERTON.

Miss Lucy Overton, who died at her residence, Fendalton, oil Saturday, was the third daughter of Mr Henry Overton. Although' she had been in feeble 'health for some time past, her death from a sudden attack of pneumonia canle as a shock to her friends. Owing to a frail body, her 'life was perforce a quiet one, but she possessed in the highest degree the qualities that do most to uplift humanity, and her self-oblivion and love will long he remembered by those who were fortunate in knowing her. Great sympathy is extended to her father,' whose closa companion and comrade, she had been, especially since the' death of Mrs Overton. in 1918.
