Hobbs completed his 1000 runs for the season. His centuries now total 119. Lancashire in the first innings made 237 (Watson 108, Barnes 56, Durston taking seven wickets for 47), and in the second innings made 103 (Haig taking four wickets for 15). Middlesex in their first innings scored 330 (Hearne 87, Hendren 142, Macdonald taking six wickets for 145), and in the second innings made eight for no wickets. Middlesex won by 10 wickets. Nottingham in their first innings made 13!), Kilner taking four for 46, and in their second innings 165, Macaulay taking seven wickets for 76. Yorkshire's first innings yielded 157, Barrett taking seven wickets for 71, and in their second innings 148 for five (Leyland 52). Yorkshire won by five wickets. Somerset in their first innings scored 19!) (Young 86, Tate taking five wickets for 52), and in their second innings made 230. Sussex in their first innings scored 213 (Wensley 55, Glasgow taking 5 wickets for 68), and in their second innings made 140 (Glasgow taking four for 43, and Hunt four for 54). Somerset won by 76 runs. For Hampshire against Warwick, Jameson made 103, and Kennedy took five wickets for 44. Hampshire won. For Worcester against Glamorgan, Root fook seven wickets for 61. For Glamorgan, Arnott took six wicketj for 76. Worcester won. For Leicester against Gloucester, Astill took five wickets for 21 in tho first innings, and Skelding five for 98 in the second. Leicester won. _ . , „,.,_ For Derby against Kent, Jackson made 127. For Kent, Seymour made 106, and Collins not out 105. Freeman took six wickets for 35 in the first innings and five for 94 in the second. Kent won.
