BULLER AGGRIEVED. (PRIBS ASSOCIATION' TKI.BOEAM.I WESTPORT, June IS.

With reference to Rugby representative fixtures, it is suggested here that the New Zealand Rugby Union, in arranging tho combined Buller-West Coast match with Australia at Groymouth, has not much' idea of the geography of th<s Wfst Coast, and that the Anchor Shipping Line be asked to invite tho Management Committee when it next visits Wellington to accept a complimentary trip to. Nelson, Messrs Newman Bros.' to pick the members up 'here and briiter\'lhem on to Weßtport via- Murchison, hotolkoepers. here to accept them' as their guests and the ■ motor-car propriolors to take them ,on trips to Denniaton,' Granity, Millerton, Stockton, Seddonville, and Kar*mea, to give them a good idea of the geography _of this country. For . instance, Westpott is by road 100 miles away from Grey mouth,-Murchison, about the same distance, Kara rata 183' miles, Denniston., Millerton, and Seddonville from 120 to, 133, miles, and at most half a dozen'car loads' of passengers are like'.y io go frOriv. these districts to see the match at Grcyniouth, whereas if a separate match were held at Westport, 1600 and more miners, besides their wives and families, at Drnniston, Granity. Millerton, Stockton, .and Seddonville, all within an hour or two hours of' Westbort, and Karamea and Murehisop, with ■ a large farming population, only three to. fourJioura distant, would ba catered for, and Rugby be given a big impetus,in this district.

A. E. Sharman, R. Wood, J. A. Robb, W. X. Benson, and F. O. B'cntley. A letter from the N.Z.F.A., Etating that each affiliated Associlfton should, on becoming affiliated, pay an entrance fee of £2, together with a aubseript.on of £o per anrium, was received. A letter from the China United Soccer Association, in relation to a world tour in 1526, was referred to tho New Zealand Association. i Tho Wellington Footba'-l Association wrcts congratulating the Canterbury team, which was' victorious againtt the Will.ngton team, on its splendid game, and hoping that their win would help to advanie Soccer in the Canterbury district. It was decided to hold ever a Utter Irora the N.Z.F.A. in regard to the Chatham Cup competition conditions till the next meeting of tho C.F.A. The report of the Match Committee stated that, ow : ng to reports from the caretakers of the various grounds on Friday, it was decided to abandon all matches last Saturday except that between Nctaads and Sunhyaide, which was. played at English Park, the reascn being that the Sunnyside team wou'.d te unable, to got into the city next Saturday, and it wm deairablo to play that' game at English p ai4t. , ,' ■ , A discuasior. arose on the draw for next Saturday's games, as to whether Hangers v. Lyttelton or Nomads v. Western would be the better 'drawing gamo tor' English Park. The chairman said that ho thought that the latter game would be the better. Rangers were nearly always lato in turning out for a game, and a game "had naturally to wait for the laggards when played at English, Park, where the public had paid to see a good game and a rna'.ch between teams one of which was two or three men short was a farco. Such teams shou'.d not play at the Park. Mr Robb said that ho waß forced to agree with the chairman's remarks. Fifty per cent, of the Rangers' players were as keen ag any, it was the remainder of the club who were the lato on»j. which was a bit hard on the keen players. He thought, however, that on ithis occasion the Rangers' players would turn out on time. Ho hoped the committee would decide to allow the Rangers-Lytlelton match to be' placed at English Park. . . After further discussion, it was decided to play the game as scheduled. Mr Bunt reported that arrangements had bten made to have the holes in ground Jso. 2 at North Hagley Park filled up in readiness for the games next Saturday. Mr Bassett reported, on behalf of the Addington Workshops Clnb, that the Prime Minister of New Zealand, the Hon. J. G. Coates, has accepted the position of patron t* that club.
