Fruitgrowers' Conference concluded to-day-It was decided to ask the horticultural division to compile, as early'as possible in June, a return showing tho quantities of apples and pears in .cooL stores, as at May 31st. • Remits were carried urging, the arrangement of orchard instructional ■classes; that an expert:bo appointed to'organise and tench packing at classes in the principal export centres,'and particularly in conjunction with technical schools; that the American-size case ho tried out to ascertain if there be any advantage'by -changing; that" n scheme : be developed whereby . poor (juality fruit will be -utilised.;-'so that it. is not placed'in the. open .market; that tho necessity of stopping "the' sale of all pip fruit under comrnercjal grad \ except as a by-product of farmers, be considered.
