POULTRY CLUB'S SHOW.
THE CAT CLASSES
The Christchurch Poultry, Pi'scon, and Canary Club's annual show' was concluded on Saturday, when the • awards were made in the' cat classes. The . judge, Mr F. .Bisgs, expressed satisfaction at the 6ata exhibited, and staled that in ,several in?lanc;s hs had. difficulty in making a final selection. Because, of Ihe distemper, the exhibits in fho kitten 'cia63cs were not up to standard, • butat the-sarne time some splendid animals, were entered. The following • special awards were made:— ... Club cui> ■ for the best Persian cat in the show—Mrs-A. • .W. MacGillivray. Special for lest-blue. Persian male—Mrs A. L. Fioekhart. . . Club cup for the best male cat' in the show—Mrs'A. Arno'.d. ' '• South Island championship for male other than smoke, blue, black, or tabby—Mrs D. C. Cooper. . Special for best silver or grey tn'jby female over twelve months—M. W.
