LINWOOD SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
At tho monthly meeting o£ the Linwood School Committee there were present:— Messrs H. i\ Herbert (in the chair), H. J. Bowlker, V?. S. Young, 0. Phillips, W. Martin, A. J. AUard, Thos. Hood, and B. G. Armstrong (secretary). Tho headmaster's report showed the number on the roll" Boys 33U, girls 369: total 768; average at' tendance: boys 381, girls 352: total 735. Tho committee decided to apply to the Education Board for ten yards of screenings for tho playground. The Visiting Committee, Messrs Martin .and Hood, reported very favourably on the manner in which the Caretaker was performing his dtttloSi The headmaster's report stated that mora accommodation was badly in, need of at the school.
