DANCE AT OMIHI.
A very successful dance in aid of the hall funds was held in Omihi. The music, supplied by the Sefton Jazz Orchestra, was a feature of the entertainment. In the grand march led by Mv Sloks (Master, of Ceremonies) and Mrs Sloss,'.. the many pretty, dresses worn by tile ladies made .a fine display. During, the- evening' Mr Jury gave a clever exhibition of step and toe dancing. Among those present were.: Mesaamca Grile3, who wore grey urOcaded marocain; it. Downey, cream satin; Jones, brown'marocain witn henna trimming; Tomlinson (Waipara), navy blue; W. H. laylor) black panne velvet; T. 'Croft, black silk; Sloss, apricot crepe de chine; J. Collie, black velvet with red poppies"; Burrows, crepe do chino; Hall, green crepe dc chine with silver trimmings; y. E. Holland (Christchurch), Stackbcuse, Cameron, Russell, Baxter (2), Wyllie, W. Smith (Christchurch), Alexander, Brien, MasteM, Wilkie Blenheim), Misses Brydon, sunset satin marocain; Brien, primrose crepe de chine; A. Stackhouse, green satin; Margaret Cameron, nigger brown; Cameron, green brocaded marocain with a flounced georgette overdrew, R. Palmer,- gold silk with" waterfall panels; A. Ta-llott (Leithficld), powder blue and silver marocain; K. Alexander, mauve georgette; J. Sloss, navy blue silk; Kelly, jade green crepe de chine: M. Laredo, pink satin; P. Collie, (Waipara), figured satin; A. Wilson (Cheviot), creme fuji silk: E. Moody, old /rold brocaded crepe de chine; J. Grant, cerise panne velvet with ostrich feather trimmings • I.' Draper, blue crepe de chine with trimmings; Misses J. Henderson (Sefton), X. Habgood (Balcairn).
